Our main goal when cooking and writing for this blog is to reduce waste and maximize variety in our meals throughout the week. We hope you enjoy our online food diary as much as we love creating it.
Cooking to clear the fridge and pantry
Who wants their fridge to be overflowing with half full jars of condiments, wilting greens, and half eaten loaves of bread? Our weekly meal plans aim to use at least a couple of these pesky long-term fridge residents to make room for fresh supplies. That’s why we named this blog Only NEW Leftovers. Follow along with our recipes to see how we get creative to resolve the issue of very limited fridge space in a tiny downtown apartment.
Food inspired by our travels around the world
Some of the best memories we have from our travels revolve around new dining experiences. Whether it’s pho for breakfast in Hanoi, poke by the beach in Hawaii, or a decadent Oreo soufflé pancake from the Shilin night market in Taiwan, the food is always the destination for us. We try to incorporate the flavours and authenticity from cuisines abroad into our recipes.
